MASTERS

The MA Strategic Fashion Marketing provided a learning environment in which business graduates could develop both creative and strategic skills in fashion marketing and management. It had an established record of recruiting high calibre international and home/EU students who predominately go on to develop successful middle management fashion marketing careers across the fashion industry spectrum. I did units in: Business Strategies (for Burberry) Branding (for Christian Dior) Research Methodology (in preparation to final dissertation) Collaborative Unit (with Art of Publishing) International Business Strategies (for Manolo Blahnik) Marketing Communications (for Reiss) Masters Dissertation looking at the GCC market & analysing the marketing communications methods in print publications. Main focus was Muslim women as luxury clients and how to utilise the regulations loopholes in advitorial, editorial and advertising Brands that I have also studied across those units included: Louis Vuitton Chanel Prada Gucci Elie Saab Uniqlo Marks & Spencer Styling and Words | Zinah Nur Sharif Photography | Ty Faruki Makeup | Safiyah M Model | Simona Bajorinaite

Fashion Editorial for COAZ Magazine September 2013. This was an independent project to launch two trial digital magazines focusing on modesty fashion, muslim women and themes surrounding these two subjects. Styling and Words | Zinah Nur Sharif Photography | Ty Faruki Makeup | Safiyah M Model | Poppy Kerr Photoshoot Assts | Jihan Nur Sharif It was a pilot magazine, interactive PDF with active links, we had J.Crew, Reiss and Ted Baker amongst others advertising with us. It was mainly focusing on modest fashion, beauty and creativity. We encouraged freelance writers, designers & boutiques to join us and work with us. Any designers or boutique would have had the option to list their products with us with little commission. Confession of a Zaraholic was in association with ZINAH. Confession of a Zaraholic was an online boutique consisting of handpicked modest clothes presented in the style of a digital fashion magazine for the modern Muslim woman. KING OF CRYSTALS

Luxury scarves and accessories designer Zinah Nur Sharif started her love affair with fashion 10 years ago with an early introduction to fashion illustration moving on to fashion design technology later in college and university years. Zinah & Fashion are still happily involved to this present day. With her first design made in July 2006, Zinah had the ultimate vision of creating elegant, feminine and luxury scarves. With an eagerness to fulfill her vision, Zinah studied fashion design and specialized in graphic design on a degree level. Zinah started running a blog in July 2010 that has been a supportive platform to showcase her love for fashion and it has been kept updated with fashion photography, whimsical style tales, frills, pretty words and wonderful things.  The label ZINAH was born in June 2012 on a very small scale and exclusively catering to private clients, creating haute couture scarves.
